Learn about the world of silkscreen printmaking in this two part studio art session! Part one: Introduction to silkscreening - What is silkscreening? - What is the history of this art medium and how does it fit into our lives today? Creating the template - Guided through how to create the image for the print - Participants design and cut their own template or stencil to be used in Part two Part Two: The Printed Image - Participants learn the process of silkscreen printmaking - First, participants will print 2 different coloured flats (base layer of colour) on paper or fabric. - While the flats dry, participants can refine their templates. Once dry participants will print a second layer of colour with their template on the screen. We've broken our most popular program into two parts to better accommodate groups. This allows participants time to process information from Part One and take their time creating the template before part two. It also allows the option for Part One to be a virtual session which cuts down on the amount of time we are in your space. You can book both parts on the same day or space them out, whatever works best for your scheduling needs! Studio Art Sessions brings the studio to you! We bring all the required materials for this experience. To accommodate physical spacing measures each participant will be provided with a set materials to use during the session, all materials are sanitized prior to and following each session. This session is available for in-person, virtual or hybrid of in-person & virtual instruction. Pricing: $300 flat rate for up to 20 participants, $12 per additional participant to a max of 30. *For virtual and hybrid sessions we will ship or deliver the required materials to participants. (There may be an additional cost, contact for pricing details) **As we continue to adapt to evolving situations, Studio Art Sessions will work with you, your policies and the policies put in place by your local governments. We will remain flexible and open to accommodate changes as needed.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations or changes can be made up to 48 hours before your session. Cancellations of "All-Included" sessions will NOT be refunded for any materials that have been shipped, you will receive a refund $55.00 for the instructional fee when cancellation is made 48 hours prior to your scheduled booking. Cancellations for "BYOM" sessions will receive a full refund when made at least 48 hours prior to your scheduled booking. Please contact to cancel or reschedule your session.
