What's on our minds...

Printmaking at Home

Hello everyone,

I have been working on some different strategies for how to bring printmaking and art to you while maintaining physical distance. Today i’m really happy to share my first move in adapting the Studio Art Sessions approach. I have created a printmaking lending library. As many of you know Studio Art Sessions has a range of printmaking tools and full class sets of equipment that will not be used by students for the remainder of this school year. Rather than have them sit and gather dust I thought I would create a library where these tools can be lent out to you!

The standard lender pack will include everything to get started with printmaking. You can choose silkscreen or relief printmaking, or BOTH.

Silkscreen Lender Pack

These lender packs will be offered on a pay what you can basis. If you are able cover the cost of materials,(approximately $15) that would be really helpful. If are able to cover more that would be amazing for this small business. That being said, I really believe in access to quality art education and I know that many people are experiencing hardships and I don’t believe that should mean you cannot access these tools and resources. I can ship these to you if you are not in the Lower Mainland area and provide you with a return label when you are ready to return your pack. (Small deposit of $20 will be taken and returned upon safe return of the printmaking tools)

Relief Printmaking Lender Pack

If you would like to make your own tote bags at home, I can add tote bags at cost $2 (ordered for programs and no longer needed).

In addition to access to the printmaking tools, you will have access to me through video chats and video tutorials that I will have online for you use. I have many years of experience bringing printmaking to learners of all ages; from beginner to experienced. This is for anyone interested in trying out printmaking at home.

Let’s stay connected through art making and explore printmaking together as we navigate through this uncharted territory. Thank you all for your support and I look forward to seeing you online soon.
